Roast beef with onion soup mix recipe?

I have seen a lot of people say they use the lipton onion soup mix... could you tell me your recipe?Roast beef with onion soup mix recipe?
I use a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 can milk, and a package of onion soup mix. I sear my roast in the oven, then place it in the crock pot. Mix the soups %26amp; water together, and work out as many lumps as you can, but don't worry they will cook out. I pour the mixture over the roast in the crock pot, set it to high (or what ever temperature you use), and allow it to cook.

The gravy is great over noodles, mashed potatoes or cubed potates and carrotts.Roast beef with onion soup mix recipe?
Ingredients:

3 lb beef chuck or round roast

1 (14 ounce) can beef broth

1 (10 ounce can) cream of mushroom soup

frozen small white onions

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons flour

Directions:

Heat a large skillet to high and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear the meat on all sides until browned. Put all ingredients except flour into a large non stick pot and cook on the lowest heat for approximately 3 hours. Check and stir occasionally to ensure there is still enough liquid. About 30 minutes before serving remove meat and 1 cup liquid from pot. Stir flour into the 1 cup of liquid and return liquid to pot; stir to thicken gravy. Trim excess fat off of roast and return to pot until ready to serve.
Diane's Beef Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients:

鈥ne beef pot roast of your choice

鈥? box, (2 envelopes) Lipton Onion Soup Mix

鈥aby carrots

鈥ew potatoes

鈥? cups water

Preparation:

Place beef pot roast in crockpot and sprinkle with Lipton onion soup mix. Add carrots and new potatoes. Pour water over pot roast. Cook on low 8-10 hrs or until tender. Thicken the gravy with a little four or cornstarch. If you are really on the ball, when you put the roast on, put a batch of bread in the bread maker and set the timer so they will be finished at the same time. When you get home, all you need to do is fix a salad and dinner is done.

MICHIGAN SECRET POT ROAST

1 large pot roast (approx 4-5 lbs)

1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix

salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder to taste

beef bouillon powder (optional)

Sprinkle pot roast with seasonings and beef boullion if you have some available.

Open envelope and pour entire onion soup mix into the center of two long sheets (double thickness) of aluminum foil wrap. Roll the beef in the soup mix to coat. Wrap tightly with the foil, sealing well. Place package in a large open roaster in oven and set on low heat (275-300 degrees F) for 4-5 hours. If meat is frozen when you start, set oven to 225-250 degrees F for 8-10 hours instead.

During the last hour or so of cooking, add foil-wrapped potatoes to the pan for a side dish. Scrub potatoes well, rub with olive oil and wrap in foil. During last 10 minutes of cooking, unwrap top of potato, make a large X with knife, squeeze potato to soften and drop in butter or cheese to melt. Cook 10 more minutes under broiler. Season with salt and pepper and top with gravy from roast.

Serve.
I use a chuck roast, put it in a oven safe pan, sprinkle with onion soup mix and a 1/2 cup of water and throw in a couple of cloves of garlic (peeled). Cover the pan tightly with foil and cook for about an hour on 350 F, then uncover and add veggies, potatoes, carrots - whatever you like. I usually season the veggies with some salt and pepper. You may need to add a touch more water - potatoes soak up the juices. Then recover and cook another hour or so until the veggies are done.

Serve.
You did not say what cut of meat you had, I use round steak for this recipe.

Cut a round steak[about 2 to 2 1/2 pounds] into rectangles that might be about 3 bites each. Roll them in flour and brown both sides in a little oil. Meanwhile mix 1/2 cup water, one can of mushroom soup mix and a pack of Lipton's onion soup mix [not the mushroom one] and stir. When the meat has browned, turn down the heat to slow simmer, and add the liquid and stir to coat the meat. Put the lid on, and let it simmer for an hour and a half, turn the meat, and repeat cooking time. The end result is tender meat in a flavorful gravy. I love this one, and I served it to company who thought I had slaved over the stove to make it. Could put some drained canned mushrooms in at the last minute to heat through.

I use my Grandma's Club aluminum skillet, it is very heavy, my Mom used a heavy dutch oven. that way, you brown and cook in one pan, only one to wash.

Could serve this with a colorful veggie, rice, or mashed potatoes.
That sound really nice! x

YES THE ONION SOUP MIX MAKES A GREAT FLAVOR FOR A ROAST AND ADD ONE CAN OF BEEF BROTH SO THE ROAST HAS SOME MOISTURE AS THAT IS THE KEY TO COOKING A BEEF ROAST, THAT WAY IT WON'T DRY OUT AND GET TUFF.

ALSO COOK THE ROAST AT 325 INSTEAD OF 350 AND COOK ABOUT 3 HOURS INSTEAD OF 2 AND KEEP COVERED TO PREVENT THE MOISTURE FROM EVAPORATING AND IT WILL COME OUT VERY TENDER AND MOIST.

IF YOU WANT TO ADD VEGIES DO IT ABOUT 1 HOUR BEFORE THE ROAST IS DONE. JUST ADD TO THE ROAST AT ABOUT THE 2 HOUR MARK.
Mix 1 pkg. Lipton's Dry Onion Soup mix with 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. Spread over pot roast. Place in dutch oven or deep pot, surround with carrots, potatoes and turnips. Add 1 soup can of water or beef broth. Cook at 325 for 5 hrs. Add more water if roast is over 3 lbs.
