Miso soup recipe? plz hurry i need to know it by monday ( not to be rude though)?

ok i need to know a recipe for miso soup, but is their a way to make it with out tofu and with out any thing wierd in it would be perfect ^_^.Miso soup recipe? plz hurry i need to know it by monday ( not to be rude though)?
Ingredients

* 1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil


* 2 large carrots, thinly sliced


* 2 clove(s) garlic, minced


* 1 small onion, diced


* 1 tablespoon(s) grated, peeled gingerroot


* 1/2 small (4 cups) head napa cabbage, (Chinese cabbage), about 1/2 pound, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick slices


* 1 tablespoon(s) seasoned rice vinegar


* 1/4 teaspoon(s) coarsely ground black pepper


* 1/4 cup(s) red miso, (Note Below), diluted with 1/4 cup hot tap water


* 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Directions





1. In 5-quart Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat. Add carrots, garlic, onion, and ginger and cook, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes or until onions are lightly browned.


2. Add cabbage, vinegar, pepper, and 6 cups water; heat to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.


3. Stir in miso; heat through, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions to serve.

Note: Miso comes in a variety of flavors, colors, and textures that fall into three basic categories: Red, which has a strong flavor; golden, which is mild; and white, which is mellow and slightly sweet. Miso is a salty substance a little like marmite that is made from fermented soy beans. All you really need to do to make soup is take some hot water and mix some in add some shaved fish (katsuoboshi), or maybe nori, some chopped onions- voila.
