Does anyone have a homemade recipe for Lipton's onion soup mix?

I have used this many times, and it is excellent...plus it's cheaper!





Copycat Lipton's Onion Soup Mix





4 servings 19 tablespoons, approximately


10 min 10 min prep





3/4 cup instant minced onion


1/3 cup beef bouillon powder


4 teaspoons onion powder


1/4 teaspoon crushed celery seeds


1/4 teaspoon sugar





Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.


About 5 tablespoons of mix are equal to 1 1录-ounce package.


To make onion dip: Mix 5 tablespoons with one pint of sour cream.

Beef Roast








4-6 servings 6录 hours 10 min prep





3 1/2-5 lbs rump roast or sirloin tip roast


2 (12 ounce) cans Franco-American beef gravy


1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms


1 (1 ounce) envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix


1/2 cup Italian dressing (Wishbone)


carrots (optional)


potatoes (optional)








Mix gravy, mushrooms, soup mix and Italian dressing; pour over beef roast.


Bake covered 1 hour 15 minutes per pound at 300 degrees.

Combine all together. This makes the equivalent of 1 package soup mix.

Are you really trying to ask for a recipe for HOMEMADE FRENCH ONION SOUP?


The question asked does not make any sense. If its Lipton's in the box it CANNOT be homemade.
